Trish’s Tiny Tots December Newsletter
Christmas
gift suggestions: To your enemy, forgiveness. To an opponent, tolerance. To a
friend, your heart. To a customer, service. To all, charity. To every child, a
good example. To yourself, respect. ~Oren Arnold
Welcome December! What an amazing blessing to be able
to share this holiday season with the ones we love the most! Soon we will be
leaving 2012 and ringing in the New Year with many great adventures in store
for Trish’s Tiny Tots!
This Month: During this month we will be talking about forgiveness,
giving, and peace. We will continue studying our five senses and spend time
discussing the many feelings and emotions we have. During art time we will be
creating Christmas displays, Santa’s, Snowy days and we will be making gifts
for our families! We will continue the
process of learning each individual letter per week as well as additional
curriculum such as two letter sounds, and site words. We will learn the sounds
of the letters, the sign and practice writing them. The children have gotten a
great start on their ABC books, and are looking forward to showing off their
finished products to their families! We will talk about shapes, colors and
numbers and continue to review them for consistency. We will be learning about
the months of the year, days of the week and the weather! Each week we will
also talk about principles such as kindness, honesty, forgiveness and patience.
I encourage you all to review the work the children take home. I would like
them to share with you the topics they learn about, so as parents you can
continue to review with them for consistency.
Don’t Forget About Your Family
Pictures: I love for the children to be able to talk with the
other children about their families. Family photos in the classrooms facilitate
these conversations. I am working on a new special bulletin board or area to
post pictures. I am asking you to send one or two family photos to be displayed
in this area. The children really like it when grandparents and pets are
included in the pictures too. Please help to complete our family photo area by
providing pictures as soon as you can J
Dates to Remember: Friday, December 21st we will he holding our annual
Christmas Party. The festivities begin
at 6:30 p.m. and end at 7:30 p.m. Please
bring your favorite dessert to share with the group. This is an after dinner
event, so make sure you fill your belly’s with healthy dinner before we enjoy
our family’s favorite Christmas desserts! The children will also be singing
songs, and giving their parents the gifts they have been working on here. Please bring a wrapped children’s book for
our book gift exchange as well.
Birthdays: Happy Birthday to my sweet Noah
who turns 8 on the 13th of December! Happy Birthday my amazing
little boy!
Closures: Trish’s Tiny Tots will be
closed in observance of Christmas Eve and Christmas Day (the 24th
